27th birthday

so 2 days before my 27th birthday, I headed over to a new friends house for dinner with Sukhee and few other sisters, and when I opened the doors, I saw a dark apartment and the shouts of "SURPRISE!"

most of the new church friends were there, and I was so surprised, and thankful!

Sukhee must have done a tremendous amount of planning and organizing not to mention a killer cake! (named 'better than sex'  later, my coworker asked, 'so was it better than sex'?  I sweetly shrugged, and said, 'I wouldn't know!")

Then even more amazingly, I received a book of birthday messages and memory shares from my friends in Seattle and other parts of the country that Sukhee compiled...  speechless, and tear worthy!  Thank you Sukhee!  My friends' kind words inspire me to be a better person... and thankful to God for his faithfulness,,, and for providing me a new community of friends, brothers and sisters in christ.... thank you...

On my actual birthday, I went out to dinner with 4 other sisters to a hip mini burger/martini bar and had really good food, and a delicious dessert.  Mini burgers are like 3 inches in diameter gourmet burgers... perfect size!  Thank God for friends...

I'm going to be a brides maid for the first time, and supposedly I have 2 more coming in my life time...  oh yeah, and decorating a wedding from some thousands miles away...

My brother is getting married! and I'm going to be a bridesmaid for my new sister-in-law!

could you ever say, "I'd marry you for that amount of money"  ?

I've joined choir!

I'm sick... worked too hard... head feels stuffy...

as I'm about to face an increase in my numerical age, someone commented and asked me questioningly if I was over mid twenties...  perhaps the eye cream is working!  jk...

I have a major opinion to say: that a guy should never assume that they are a 'towering romantic.' especially around valentines day, they have NO idea what they are up against! 

And flirting is not flattering... do I have "I'm ditzy" written on my forehead?

It's been a big week!  A major engagement in the family... ha ha... can you guess who? 

My parents sent me a valentine, and I cried.... literally.... after reading my mom's loving letter... going to have to find out how our paths will cross again so we can live in the same vicinity...

Received clarity in prayer, not a material blessing, but a blessing in wisdom, now I know why somethings are the way they are...

I've learned that the Victory is His...but I am still fighting the past... dang past.... dang pride... dang scars!

I love my work, have I mentioned that before????  =) 

I have a new friend/mentor, she's a blessing... I thank God for many things this week...

I've been so lost... I'm finding my way back to God!

Happy Birthday to my favorite Robert E Lee and lil brother!  okay, so 21 isn't so lil anymore... but Happy Birthday to the sweetest, talented, and dang smart guy!!! 

So... my impromtu train-met guy that I mentioned in the previous entry, last night was the first conversation on the phone...  I used the whole " I don't date non-christian" statement, he didn't seem to take that as a 'no'... hm... and by my asian-guys being shy comment... is thus far, I've received date requests from every race but asian... and from my experience, all my asian encouters were based after a good chunk of time of friendship, then the dating thing comes out, which I suppose could be seen as the responsible thing, but shy is still shy~  It's not like I'm a dragonlady... from the start,.. ke ke ke... fun times...meeting new people... okay, not really....
